CHARITY FASHION SHOW

Last year, we unfortunately lost our tutor Simon Seivewright to a brain tumour, he was an extremely influential man who inspired many of us and it came as a great shock to me and my fellow classmates. Being such a fashion driven man, we decided to organise a fashion show to celebrate Simon and raise money towards the brain tumour charity. Show production is not an easy process and we were slightly overwhelmed, however we had a great amount of support from friends, family and local companies. With the phoenix gallery in beautiful  Brighton as our location, setting up the show was well under way and the drinks were flowing. There is something about the backstage buzz thats addictive and Sunday certainly didn't disappoint. It was a rewarding experience knowing that we were raising money for a good cause by showing our graduate collections.  We managed to raise over £1000, not to shabby!  The event was a great way to end our time as students and most importantly celebrate the man that inspired us all. Here are some shots of the day taken by photographers Sarah Olivier, Gareth Gregg and Malcolm Tam

SUMMER NOIR

A combination of finishing uni, starting a new internship and organising a charity fashion show has resulted in being a bit absent. But i am finally back with a new outfit post. As Graduate Fashion Week was a bit of a hectic time, i didn't get a chance to blog my outfit, so i thought i would re create it. This Religion shirt is a recent purchase from Asos. I had spotted it a while back but convinced myself i didn't need yet another black piece in my wardrobe. When i noticed it had nearly half of the price knocked off a week later, I couldn't resist and i certainly don't regret it. The beauty of this shirt is that although it's black, the loose fit means that you don't get to hot in the summer months. The lace panels were the selling point for me, classic and feminine. I paired this with my black Asos ripped jeans and my blue suede heels from Next. I kept the styling simple with my black floppy hat, bit of friendly advice, unless you want to running around looking like a lunatic, or risk being lifted of the ground Mary Poppins style, i would opt out of wearing a hat like this on a windy day!) My bag is a new addition to my wardrobe and was made from leftover leather from my graduate collection (see previous post), waste not want not, right?

Until next time,

GRADUATE FASHION WEEK

With Graduate Fashion Week in full force, Sunday was the day for Northbrook College to hit the runway. My whole university career had been leading to this moment, as you can imagine I was experiencing just about every emotion. I was given the opportunity for my collection to open the show. My patent leather dress was the first to walk the runway to my soundtrack 'Back to black' by Andre 3000. I must admit i don't think i took one breath as the show was happening . Above are images fresh of the runway. Stay tuned for my photoshoot images and a behind the scenes vid!

Until next time
