SEASIDE SUNFLOWER

Shirt- Next/Shorts- American Apparel/Necklace- Asos

I have had my fair share of shorts in my time and these have become my new favourites. The sunflowers give a fun twist on classic denim shorts and are a great summer statement piece.
If you have a paler complexion, much like mine, then it will thank you for covering up those shoulders in the mid day sun! I decided to throw on my classic white shirt from Next. I tied the bottom of the shirt up to give it a casual vibe. Perfect outfit for a chilled summers day.

DINER DENIM

Denim jacket-vintage levi, bodysuit-asos, skirt-miss selfridge, necklace-asos

I channelled my inner american this weekend and decided to visit my local 1950s inspired diner. I kept my outfit simple and casual, leaving my denim jacket to do the talking. I purchased this vintage levi jacket last year in brick lane, its been the perfect throw on piece for summer.

This week I had some incredibly exciting news which has led me to pack my bags and move to London! This Asos necklace has arrived just in time to remind me of my roots by the sea!

SUN, SEA & STRIPES

BRALETTE- URBAN OUTFITTERS
KIMONO- ASOS
TROUSERS- ZARA
SANDALS- TOPSHOP
SUNGLASSES- LOCAL MARKET

Living by the sea has been such a norm for me and i am guilty of taking it for granted. I felt like it was time i had a day on the beach. I decided to channel my inner sailor with these striped Zara trousers. These beauts were in sale for a mere £15! They are great for girls out there like me with shorter legs as the high waist gives the illusion that they're a lot longer, bonus. I found this lace bralette in Urban outfitters a while back and i finally had an excuse to wear it. If you want to avoid the whole lobster chic look, ( you know what i mean pale ladies!) then a kimono is the perfect cover up. Finish the outfit with some comfy sandals and some sunnies of your choice and you're good to go!

BACK TO BLACK

TOP: ZARA
TROUSERS: ASOS PETITE
SHOES: NEXT
BAG: HANDMADE

So, i know what your thinking.. a coat in the middle of July? Welcome to England, the home of the most unpredictable weather. This top is a new Zara purchase and a great wardrobe staple. I do tend to steer clear of white to avoid the risk of it blending into my skin tone! But fear not fellow pale ladies, brighten up your complexion with a pop of colour on the lips and you're good to go.  I paired the top with my Asos straight leg trousers, Next heels and my Topshop coat.

Now don't get me wrong, I love a good ol' skinny jean, but when i rediscovered these boyfriend jeans from Boohoo in my wardrobe I couldn't help but throw them on. I must admit they are a little out of my comfort zone. Im not the tallest of humans and jeans with this fit have a tendency to drown me. This is were my shoes come in,  these monochrome beauts are from Debenhams and are the comfiest heels that I've ever worn, bonus. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit very simple with a black Asos bodysuit and my Zara leather jacket ( Another wardrobe must have!).  I added a pop of red with my choice of lipstick. I have to admit, i enjoyed channeling my inner biker.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE

DRESS / ZARA
HEELS / NEXT
SUNGLASSES/ MARKET

When i'm lacking time to get ready, I tend to stay away from separates and go for a dress. Its a full proof way of looking put together with minimum effort. I found this cream bell sleeve dress in the Zara sale and knew it would be a great addition to my work wardrobe. It's a versatile piece and can be taken from day time to night time with a change of shoe option. The beauty of a neutral dress is that you can add a pop of colour, in this case I opted for my blue suede heels which i can't get enough of. I kept it understated with the accessories and threw on my cat eye sunglasses.
