One pair of boots: Two outfits

My most recent purchase have been these black knee high quilted boots from Office. I have been lusting after a pair of boots like these for a while, but most never seemed to fit properly due to the fact I have really small knees and ankles! (Bane of my life!) Then i came across these bad boys, at £99, (with my trusty student discount) they are a little on the expensive side, however they go with just about anything! The gold hardware is a great touch to the simple leather boot. For a casual look pair them with a monochrome based outfit, and an over sized tartan scarf like this one from Zara. If you're in the mood for dressing up, add a statement coat and a hat. My coat is a recent purchase from H&M, a coat like this brings a lot of volume to a form fitting outfit like this one, giving it something extra. The hat is also from H&M, i personally love a good hat, it never fails to make an outfit look complete and keep you dry on a rainy day, what more could you want? Choose a bold lip to add a pop of colour and you're good to go.

Brighton brunch

After the rush of the first day of London Fashion Week, (Stay tuned for a blog post on my experience dressing backstage!), I decided to have a wind down and roam around Brighton. Those of you who have visited before will know about The Laines. With rows of quaint tea rooms and vintage shops, this is one of my favourite places to go and have a wander. I have recently purchased this skirt from Zara online and can't believe it's not real leather! The quality is amazing and for £25.99, an absolute bargain! As the weather has been... well...rather English, I have filtered this skirt into my winter wardrobe. Combined with my Asos Black tee, tights and Topshop boots, the skirt is a perfect pop of colour for a dull day. I decided to chuck on my chunky chain necklace to add a bit of edge to a feminine silhouette. If you're ever in the area, i suggest you visit Snoopers paradise. This place is amazing for one-off antique and vintage pieces. If all the excitement of Brighton leaves you a little peckish, i suggest the Blackbird tearooms, they do the most amazing scrambled egg!
Until next time

Winter Blues

So, London Fashion Week is approaching and this year I am struggling to find the time to get outfits together. This year I will be dressing shows backstage and as i won't have time to take snaps on the day i thought id take a few before hand. The criteria is black and with my wardrobe being 99% monochrome styling an outfit was simple. I opted for my ASOS trousers, which do have cheeky white panels at the side, which may be slightly cheating, but who doesn't love a bit of monochrome? I decided to keep the silhouette simple with a black body con top and my Chelsea boots. Boots like these are a perfect way of adding a bit of height but keeping comfy on a busy day. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the bag, I found this gem at a vintage fair, the gold hardware compliments the belt perfectly.  All black is ALWAYS good in my opinion but I decided that for this occasion I would pair it with a statement coat. This boyfriend coat from TOPSHOP was a Christmas present, I felt this was the perfect chance to crack it out. The over sized fit is a perfect way to add volume to an otherwise quite simple silhouette. The hat was a little added extra as the weather has been disastrous recently and i don't want to risk my hair being a hot mess. My last accessory which unfortunately can't join me on the day, is my gorgeous boxer who decided to gate crash my outfit post. What a sweetie.

You're making me blush!

With many a meeting today, i decided to opt for my comfy Joni jeans from Topshop, they are slightly high waisted which meant i could get away with wearing my new H&M crop top. The dusky pink colour is gorgeous, but the deal breaker was the cut, the simple frill gives a great silhouette to a simple outfit. Teamed with my New Look blazer and my Chelsea boots, the crop is automatically transitioned into a winter outfit with an edge. My coat is from Zara and i have worn it to death since i got it last year. It has been my go-to all winter and is perfect for layering. I decided to use my bag from Next, as it will literally fit just about anything and everything, who doesn't like a Mary Poppins moment?

What's your go-to rush around outfit?
